  • 1 Tbsp American Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Finley Chopped Alderson’s Pickles
  • 1 tsp Pickle juice
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/4 Chopped Onion
  • 110g Beef Mince
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 10-15 Dumpling Wrappers
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/3 Cup of water
  • 1 Tbsp Sliced Spring onions

Method:

Sauce it up:

  • Combining all of the ingredients in a small bowl and mix until well combined. Put aside in the fridge until needed.
  • Set aside 1/2 of the grated cheese, then into a bowl combine the remaining cheese, onions, minced beef, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix together with your hands until well combined.
  • To fold your dumplings, hold a wrapper in the palm of your hand, then using your fingers, wet the edge of the wrappers with water. Add a teaspoon of the dumpling mix to the wrapper and top with an Alderson’s Classic Pickle Chip.
  • Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges together. Place the dumpling into the dumpling press and close tight to seal. Place the dumplings under a damp cloth to stop them from drying out. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
  • Over a medium heat, add the olive oil to a non stick pan. Place 5-6 dumplings into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes. Once golden brown, remove from the pan.
  • Add the remaining cheese to the pan, then place the dumplings back in, in a circle pattern. Pour in the water and quickly cover with a lid to steam the dumplings and melt the cheese. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the water has evaporated and the dumpling pastry is translucent. Remove the lid and cook for 1 more minute until the cheese is crispy.
  • Slide the crispiness onto a plate and sprinkle over the sliced spring onions. Grab a fork or chop sticks, dive into the burger sauce and enjoy.
